   LA YANTA

   Negra cocina aldeana.
Rojo fogaril casero.
Vajilla talaverana.
Barreñón celeminero.
   Ancha botija de azumbre
que pasa de mano en mano.
Y en la trébede, a la lumbre,
el puchero castellano.
   Se charla de sembradura,
y de monda, y de molienda....
   Todo del tiempo pasado
evoca el vivir glorioso.
Todo está santificado
por aquel santo reposo.
   Y para hacer más lúcida
la yanta que se festeja,
mientras cuece la comida
impónese la conseja.
   Y el más viejo de la grey
dice acompasado y quedo:
"Pues, señor, este era un rey,
un rey moro de Toledo..."
